• Poetry
Here we explore how to think in `IMAGES` and brain-storm WHY a poet writes a poem. Their `drive` to put into words a particular experience and the feelings it evoked.
The show can be on any theme you wish (within reason and given adequate notice) but I carry a stock of puppets for simple Traditional Tales such as Three Billy Goats Gruff and the Three Little Pigs.
I show how by using card and masking tape the structure of the puppet (person, animal, bird, mini-beast, fish etc.) is built up and coloured with tissue paper and PVA.
The Finger Puppets are simple to construct, yet amazingly effective, and can cover any theme that you wish.
Everybody loves making (and wearing) MASKS. My method allows a mask to be made, in a day, using card and masking tape to build up the structure, be it of Person, Animal, Bird, Fish, Bug, whatever.
This workshop gives your class the opportunity of exploring the intimate joy of the Toy Theatre, with the pleasure of drawing and cutting out the characters for their own play.
